Dear customers,
LEGO Education informs us today that some LEGO Mindstorms EV3 batteries are defective.
Charge your EV3 battery using your EV3 battery charger, then insert the battery into your EV3 smart brick. Turn on your EV3 smart brick by pressing its central button.
If your EV3 smart brick turns on for a fraction of a second and then turns off directly, or if your brick simply does not turn on, your battery is probably faulty.
Luckily, no. According to the manufacturer, using (or at least attempting to use) these batteries does not pose a risk to your smart brick. It will simply refuse to start.
The exchange is done directly with LEGO Education. You can contact them by email at LEGOed@lego.com, or by phone at 00 800 5346 5555.
