With its supercardioid condenser capsule and supercardioid polar pattern, the built-in shotgun microphone records with exceptional sound quality and minimal background noise. Its 3.5 mm plug allows it to be used with any DSLR camera, video camera or audio recorder that accepts a 3.5 mm microphone input.

It features a low-cut filter that can be turned on or off to reduce low-frequency noise and rumble, and a three-position gain control that can be set to +20dB of boost, 0dB of unity gain, or -10dB of attenuation to prevent distortion from audio overload.

Ideal for interviews, electronic journalism and more, the built-in shock mount with cold shoe and 1/4-inch screw hole helps prevent vibration when attached to a camera, camcorder or boom.

2 AA batteries (not included) ensure minimal power consumption and many hours of operation. The unit's 3.5mm headphone connection allows you to monitor your source in real time.
