Unleash innovation with the world's fastest 1:20 scale hydrogen car. The H2GP SPRINT Classroom Pack allows 12-24 students to immerse themselves in the exciting world of hydrogen racing.
A complete classroom solution, allowing 12-24 students to discover the exciting world of hydrogen racing. With six fuel cell electric cars included, your students will work in teams to design the fastest car possible before testing their vehicles on our super-portable practice track.
The H2GP SPRINT Classroom Pack is a complete classroom solution, allowing 12-24 students to discover the exciting world of hydrogen racing. With six fuel cell electric cars included, students will work in teams to design the fastest car possible before testing their vehicles on a super-portable practice track.
The class pack also includes a unique code to access a full 12-month SPRINT programme, which teaches the basics of hydrogen, fuel cell electric systems, physics and data collection and evaluation.
Step 1: Create
The students assemble each part of the H2GP Sprint car themselves, enabling them to understand the role of each component. They start by preparing elements such as the tubes, the hydrogen tank, the battery pack and the electrolyser. Once these components are in place, the students can create their own hydrogen and use it to generate electricity to power the car's engine. Finally, the students assemble the chassis, connecting the wheels, tyres, fuel cell, engine and hydrogen gas tank to the car. Once all the components have been assembled, they can test drive their own unique hydrogen-powered car!
Stage 2: Running
Now it's time to run! Students will naturally want to compete against each other, but the innovative SPRINT programme provides a structure that combines racing with additional learning. H2GP SPRINT racers use real-time data to continually analyse the optimum gear ratio, weight distribution, lubrication and engine position in order to create the fastest car possible.
Stage 3: Innovation
Now that the students have all the tools to modify their hydrogen car, they are free to follow their imagination and create the fastest car possible. This includes redesigning the car's chassis with the help of computer-aided design (CAD) or producing their own unique bodywork.
