It was in 2013 that Circuit Scribe was launched: a series of educational kits for children to help them learn about technology. The kits, which are based on a pen that draws with conductive silver ink, are now used in schools and homes around the world.
Like many innovative educational projects, it all started with a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, which raised no less than $675,000. A campaign that allowed to perfect, produce and distribute the various original kits but also to create new ones like the DIY drone of Circuit Scribe that uses cardboard arms on which are drawn conductive lines to attach the motors to the hub of the drone.
Your kids will be able to match electronic modules using the electrically conductive silver ink pen. Turn on the electricity and watch their inventions turn on lights, buzzers, motors and other devices. The Circuit Scribe kits contain workbooks that reveal the step-by-step secrets of moving electricity, making what was once difficult as simple as picking up a pen and drawing.
For those who want to be guided through the process, each lesson comes with an additional video on YouTube.
