The buggy kit MK 2 Kitronik: MOVE mini for BBC micro:bit is the latest version of the kit : MOVE. This mini two-wheeled robot offers a fun introduction to robotics. It is suitable for stand-alone operation, remote control projects with Bluetooth application and can be controlled using a second BBC microbit as controller via the microbit radio functionality.
Requires assembly / Made in UK. Kit to be associated with a micro:bit BBC card sold separately.
The Kitronik:MOVE mini is powered by two continuously rotating servomotors. The speed of these servos can be controlled by simply changing the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal to the servo, which is easy to do using the Servo Blocks in the Microsoft PXT block editor. We have also produced Kitronik custom blocks for the Servo: Lite to make the coding task as quick and painless as possible, see the resources section at the bottom of this page for more information.
The buggy also has 5 x individually addressable RGB ZIP LEDs (NeoPixel compatible), which can be used as turn signals, reversing lights etc... It is possible to add a pen or other additional parts to the kit to increase the range of tasks for which it can be used.
