To save you time, the kit and teaching tools have been tested by real students and produced in collaboration with real instructors.
The kit is inexpensive, useful and durable enough for instructors to use again and again. The resources cover the KS2 computing criteria and are relevant to KS2 science.
All teaching resources, including lecture notes, lesson plans and worksheets, are presented in a teacher-friendly way. They are provided in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and PDF formats, and can be copied, edited and printed to suit your particular teaching style. A quick start guide to the Lesson in a Box kit is now available. It provides an overview of the whole kit, including a description of your new lessons, how to set up your kit, how to use the micro:bit, code samples, and much more!
The BBC micro:bit and the LAB:bit board, built exclusively for this type of activity, are used in the Primary Computer Pack! It does not require soldering and has a protective cover over the components. The micro:bit has the advantage of being simple to use yet feature rich and capable of being programmed in languages suitable for all skill levels.
