Kitronik presents the latest version of its Tipper Truck add-on for :MOVE mini MK2 for the BBC microbit/ :MOVE mini MK2 is a small programmable buggy robot which is improved thanks to this extension. Although this add-on has been designed to work with :MOVE mini MK2, it can also be adapted to the original :MOVE mini. To be used with an application and to be controlled via Bluetooth or to be used with the radio function and a second microbit as a controller. This self assembly Tipper Truck add-on kit comes with the servo required.
This kit requires a mechanical assembly and some welding. It is made in England.
This tipper truck extension kit is made from the same materials as :MOVE mini, designed with :MOVE mini aesthetics in mind, and is also supplied with the servo necessary to move the trailer of the tipper truck up and down.
There is a simple :Lite board hack servo that allows the control of the third servo, you can find out how here. Once the kit is fully assembled, the Tipper Truck can be coded with Microsoft's MakeCode editor.
Note: To use this accessory, you must enable the third servo feature in order to connect the third servo to the Servo:Lite board; this requires some soldering. The base pins required for this purpose are supplied with this kit. In addition, activating the third servo deactivates the ZIP LEDs on the card. If you cancel the hacking of the third servo and return the card to its initial state, the on-board ZIP LEDs will be reactivated. See the guide that shows how to activate the third servo and how to cancel this change: available here.
